Cause music is my aro-plane

I've got music on the mind.
First, check out this band I just heard on Power 89.7
http://www.familyforce5.com/
They are daggom AWESOME!! I had them playing while I was cleaning the kitchen and I couldn't stop moving! They have fantastic beats!

So, I went to church 3 times today. And I listened to our worship band 3 times today. And they played two of my favorite songs, 3 times today. I want to share them with you.

The first one, I found out today, was written in and about Thailand (how fitting!). This band, Bluetree was asked to play in a "bar" in Thailand. It was a bar that had more than just drinking going on, it was a spot for child prostitution. This christian band saw this as a great opportunity to reach out with the Love of God in a very dark place. This song became something they wrote from that experience. I couldn't help the tears that just streamed down my face as I listened to this song and imagined what it must have been like singing such a hopeful song in such a seemingly hopeless place. This song is called God of This City

Here is a one minute video of them actually singing in that bar.
Here is a video with lyrics of Chris Tomlin singing this song.

The second one is written by Aaron Shust and it's called My Savior, My God. This song has been my favorites from the moment I heard it. I think it is one of the most beautiful, simple & honest songs ever written in worship of God. It's the lyrics of this song that amaze me. So here is another video, with lyrics, so you can enjoy the beautiful simplicity of this song.

When it comes to worship, nothing speaks to my heart more than music does. Nature gets pretty dang close, but music does something to my soul that I cannot express into words. It was an awesome privilege to serve at my church today, and get to hear our worship band 3 times!

I hope you have some time to worship God through these songs.
