Songkran- aka getting wet

So the next 3 days are Songkran here in Thailand. It's their New Year celebration. Most places take the whole week off to celebrate! And it's a Crazy time here! The main tradition is for people to stand on the side of the roads and throw water on each other, cars and motorbikes. It gets pretty crazy in the downtown areas, as you can imagine. Combine drinking with motorbikes, wet roads and people throwing buckets of water on you as you pass.

I got soaked today by a kid & his bucket. And going 50mph that water felt like rocks! No fun!
So we're opting to stay in for the most part. Or only driving in a car and staying out of downtown.
