So I wanted to share a few more thoughts that were born from the trip to Cambodia. I am SO thankful I went!! Wow- what a Great time of ministry, relaxing, fellowship, renewal . . . the whole experience was so great!
Being in the "slums" area really made a big impact on me. It was also the opportunity that God opened up for Jen and I to get to share the Hope we have in Him. We both really felt His presence with us as we were visiting certain homes, and that we should share and pray with the people there. We are believing God for BIG things and look forward to when we get an email reporting what all God did!
Just a few more pictures from our trip. And we will also post a few videos soon.
On the plane there, we had to fill out all this paperwork!
Enjoying myself on the river!
A woman in the "slums" with AIDs. She is a believer, but her faith is very low because her conditions are so bad. This man and his wife (not pictured here) have such amazing hearts for their country and people! They go in their freetime and minister and teach this village and the children. They have no money, just hearts to reach out!
A home in the "slums"
It was hard to imagine what it must be like living here. The homes are so close together and the poverty is so extreme. My heart really went out to the children because there isn't much hope for a future for them. A lot of their parents dont want them to go to school because they need them out on the streets begging to make money.
Again, the conditions were so extreme.
Just a shot of the trash.
Here is another home.
They loved getting their picture taken and seeing it!
Right off the river.
Here is a cute picture of our Tuk-Tuk driver To. He was so great!
This is a kitchen in one of the homes.
These pictures aren't meant to be depressing. But just a reminder to pray for the poor and opressed in the world. And to pray for those who are reaching out to them. More than anything it's a reminder for ME to pray!! And to remember what is right outside my comfortable home.
