So, Teen Mania arrived on Tuesday the 7th. Unfortunately I was in bed with a fever of 100 all day and didnt get to meet them till Wednesday. But it's been nonstop since then . . .
We drove to Mae Cheam - which is about 3 hours into the mountains, and stayed w/ a contact there. Him and his wife are working on a church plant in that area. So we came to teach English in the school across the street and help bridge the relationship between him and the teachers there. We taught for 2 days there and it was a lot of fun! Jen and I worked on relationships with the teachers and our contact, and the TMM kids did all the teaching. They did a GREAT job because we had 2 different teachers from different schools invite us to come to their school and do the same thing. So that is some great contacts we're excited to follow up on!
It was very successful ministry and we're really excited to see how God uses those open doors. After the English Camp we had a "party" for the teachers where we just ate snacks and talked. They LOVE to practice their English with native speakers and they helped us practice our Thai. Then later that night we had another little "party" for some local people around town that our contact is friends with and is trying to reach out to them. So that was a lot of fun!
I was sick the whole trip and I'm still not feeling well . . . but now we are home and I'm SO excited to sleep in my own bed! We will be in Chiang Mai for a week before we leave town again and that is Awesomeness! :)
(pictures to come soon once the internet starts being nice!)
