Well I'm still doing some cooking experiments. The other day I found a recipe for homemade ravioli. I've never done any kind of pasta or bread or anything, but I felt up to the challenge!
I decided to make them part whole wheat, to make them a little healthier.
For the stuffing, I did spinach, feta cheese, garlic and shallots.
Here I am after rolling out the dough and putting the stuffing on there.
Then I sealed it all up.
But I had extra stuffing so I stuffed some more after I cut them.
Yummy yummy! Oh- and they were HUGE! That was kind of an accident!
An HOUR after starting- I had my stuffed Ravioli's ready to be cooked.
They were almost too big for our pot!
But they turned out quite yummy! Topped 'em with some red sauce and they were good to go!
Another new recipe we made was 3 Bean burgers. It called for Black Beans, but you cant get those here- so we used Garbanzo, Kidney and . . . and . . . well- something else! I cant remember now! :)
Jen made that killer salad! And we topped the burger with BBQ sauce w/ some Cumin and lime juice mixed in. It was really yummy :)
And finally- Falafals!! In a nice wheat wrap w/ yogurt, Tahini sauce and avocado slices.
Steph! That ravioli looks amazing! I'm wanting to make my own and found this amazing little ravioli maker on amazon, it's on my wish list: http://www.amazon.com/Norpro-Ravioli-Maker-and-Press/dp/B000BBGV0G/ref=wl_itt_dp_o?ie=UTF8&coliid=I1HMFG3279X7DW&colid=2F6ZE1F7MPVSS
