Our first race in Thailand!

So Jen and I did our first race in Thailand today!

It was a 10k for World Vision Thailand. (after the race though we checked our iPods and we actually did more like a 12k!).
The money from the race went towards kids in Thailand.

My goal for the race wasn't about time or pace- I just wanted to actually run the whole thing! And with Jen's encouragement- I totally did!

Here are some pics and a video of our little journey :)

We woke up at 4:15am to get ready. We had to be at the race at 5:30am to register.

Pretty excited! The moon was still out it was so early!

We had about half an hour to warm up

After the race- getting some food out of the bike! They only had "joke" - which is like this nasty salty Thai rice soup. Eww! So glad we brought granola bars!

Not real sure what I was doing here!

I was trying to show the mountains and just how beautiful it was! It was such a pretty run!

Yeah!!! We got medals! I was pretty stoked!

And Jen showing hers!

This dog totally did the race w/ his owner! It was so cool!

We totally burned 900 calories!! Whoo-hoo!!

I wore my Nike sensor w/ my iPod to see how far we Really went. It was close to 7.5 miles. Pretty sure all those low dips were when I was running up a hill! There were lots of hills and I dont do hills very well!

What better way to celebrate than by eating a HUGE breakfast?!
Me and my cappuccino having a moment together!

He makes me so happy! It was like a warm hug for my soul!

Spinach & cheese omelet with bacon, fresh orange juice & a bagel. Total calories estimated to be around 1,000!
Whew- glad we raced today!

I had no problem taking care of business and ate every bite!

However, Jen was full after only eating 1/2 her meal and took the rest home!

It was kind of fun to get home at 9am and to have already ran a 10k and eaten breakfast! :)

It was also super cool to do this race since it was for World Vision and we've been doing all that jewelry for them. Fun to be able to support them!
