Built for comfort, not for speed


So I realized this morning that my body really wasn’t built for speed. And you know, I’m so totally ok with that! We had running this morning, and if I may brag on Jen and me for a minute- we were up at 4:50am and in Dallas at 5:30am to run! The whole way saying- give us strength Lord, give us strength!! So this morning we did drills at practice. You warm up for a mile, then run one lap Fast, one lap slow, then two laps Fast. And they time your fast runs so you can see improvement through time. This morning my 1 lap was 2 minutes, Jen’s was 1:49. My 2 laps were 4:45 (see what I mean about speed??) and Jen’s was 4:02. But that actually is an improvement for me. We timed ourselves on week 1 doing 2 laps. And my time then was 4:54. So I almost shaved off 10 seconds :)
