Medical Clinic and Blanket project in Mae Cheam

So we got to return to Mae Cheam for a new project. The last time we were there was when the summer volunteers were here. We spent almost a week there teaching English and building relationships with the teachers.


Here Jen is with Nong who runs the caregroup there with her husband.



Jen and Chris with a guy we met who was not a Christian this summer. But he had been going to the caregroup for awhile and told us that he became a believer 2 months ago!


She looks a little uncertain about this! :)



Well we got to head back there with the church and partner with them and their medical clinic. Pure Heart purchased 100 blankets to hand out and we also were planning on having a small English Camp for all the kids (the clinic was held at a school).
But when we got there, it turned out that all the kids were gone b/c of the Loy Kratong festival! So instead, we handed out blankets, helped w/ the medical clinic and then got invited to attend a Thai wedding!



The Thai wedding was a son of one of the teachers we met this summer. They LOVED having "farong" at the wedding! It was actually a very traditional wedding which means it last ALL day and night and people just come and go all day. So it turned out great that we didn't know about it till the last minute!
