Thai Engagement Party

Jen and I feel like Dee is our little sister. We have grown to LOVE and adore her and she is absolutely the most sweet-spirited person either of us have ever met.

When she invited us to her Engagement Party, we felt SO honored! Typically it's only family and extremely close friends. So we were very excited that she invited us!

Dee asked if I wouldn't mind taking some photos for them also, since they don't have money to pay a photographer. And of course I was SUPER happy to do it!

I actually would have taken a TON more, but they don't really take photos like we do. I missed a TON of great shots just b/c it really isn't what they do . . . they take a lot of photos after all the action happens. But not really during.

I was sad to miss some sweet moments, but I did manage to sneak in a few good ones :)

So I have all the photos uploaded here for you to see. They are on my facebook page, but you don't have to have a facebook page to see.

Here are my top 4 faves though, just to give you a taste :)

During the ceremony, the bride-to-be and groom-to-be both sit on the floor. And then their parents are sitting in chairs on the same side as them. This is a show of respect and honor to their parents.
During this process, they also take time to "ask" for both sets of parents' blessing on their marriage. I did get 1 good pic of that- you'll see it when you click the link.

This is my top favorite shot of them all. I wanted to do so much with this picture, but I had to take what I could get. This is Dee's hair decoration, which was absolutely beautiful! And that's her Hubby-to-be, Off, in the background.

Us with the happy couple!

The last shot of the day and also one of the best. They are just the cutest couple and love the Lord with all their hearts!!

I'm looking forward to having more photos from the wedding to upload soon! She gets married next month :)
